Benefit’s brightest star-Benefit Eye Bright July 12, 2010

When I bought the June Glamour magazine, I picked up a copy with a free Benefit Eye Bright, along with the IT stick.

At first I wasn’t exactly sure how to use it, apart from using it as an eye-brow highlighter. However, I discovered that this product really has multiple uses. Other ways of using it include using it on the waterline or dabbing it in the inner corners of the eye, to open the eye up. When dotted under the eye area and blended in, it gives a rested, refreshed look to tired eyes.

The consistency, is a little bit harder than the IT stick, but the formulation is creamy and is easy to blend. I like that the colour of eye bright is a matte pink and not too glittery and sparkly. As a result, it gives a more natural, professional finish.

The packaging, is lovely and also durable, and the size of eye bright makes it perfect to throw into a small purse or bag on a night out. I’m not usually a fan of highlighting products, but this gets a thumbs up!!!

Here Ye, Here Ye-Benefit Freebies June 26, 2010

The great thing about the summer is the freebies with the magazines. The best on offer, apart from the usual cloth bags and books, is with this month’s Glamour magazine. If you are lucky enough to snag yourself a copy, you can get your mitts on one of the three Benefit full-sized products. The three products available are:

Benefit Bad Gal

A lovely, chunky black eyeliner that has gotten rave reviews and is firm favourites with many of my friends. I didn’t pick up this one, as I have loads of black eyeliners and was trying to be good!!

Benefit It Stick

This is a pale, peachy-looking concealer stick. I hadn’t heard of this one before but decided to try it out.

Benefit Eye Bright

A pink highlighter, again, in stick form for around the eyes and eyebrows. I also decided to get this one, as I have seen it on a few people and like its effect.

Inside the magazine, there was also a discount code to get a further discount off  benefit products when bought online. I will try to get a review on the It stick and eye bright soon, once I have used if for a reasonable length of time. If you do see any remaining copies of Glamour, snap one up as I’m sure you or a friend would love one of the products free with it.

Other magazine offers to watch out for:

There a lot of magazines that are giving away great full-sized products at the moment. Though I haven’t indulged in them yet, they may be of interest to you:

  • Red magazine are offering a Jemma Kidd lipgloss, which three different colours available.
  • Marie Claire are offering a full-sized Cow Shed product with this month’s magazine.

Do you know of any other good offers available? Let me know and I will post them for everyone to see.
