I was fortunate enough to be  sent this to try awhile ago, given that I am such a huge Batiste fan. I like natural products so, I was eager to give this a try. This dry shampoo contains 100% natural ingredients, is fragrance free, comes in a recyclable bottle-a claim not many dry shampoo’s can make!

If you would like some more information about the dry shampoo, here’s what the Batiste website says about it:

Nude is the dry shampoo for green girls everywhere. 100% natural powder and fragrance-free. You’ll get lots of uses from this squeezable, recyclable bottle with an easy-to-use nozzle applicator. Go Nude today for clean fresh hair that’s plumped up and full of body and texture. Fewer washes are kinder to your hair and the environment too!

I know at this stage the majority of people are aware of dry shampoo but I think that it deserves a special mention, since I love it soo much!

I have quite oily hair and I also don’t particularly enjoy the process of constantly washing me hair-herein lies the problem! In the days before I had any knowledge of dry shampoo, I ended up washing my hair quite regularly (about 1-2 days). This however resulted in my hair being stripped of it’s natural oil, and my scalp producing more to replenish said oil, which ended up in more oily greasy hair! It was a vicious circle I tell you….

Anyway, I stumbled across a post about dry shampoo on Irish beauty and make-up mecca-beaut.ie, and decided that it sounded too good to be true. After seeking some advice from the lovely Kirstie and Ashling, and other beaut.ie blog followers, regarding brands, cost, where to buy, how to apply (hey-that even rhymed :-) ), I trekked off to Boots in search of a can of Batiste dry shampoo.

From that day on (about two years ago), my love affair with dry shampoo began. Since then I have gone through countless cans of Batiste. I’ve never tried any other brands of dry shampoo. The high prices of alternative dry shampoo products have always turned me off, especially as I’m so happy using my Batiste between washes to freshen up my hair. Though my experience with other brands of dry shampoo is limited, I have tried out a fair few types of Batiste’s dry shampoo products (well, the ones that are available in Ireland that is ;-) )
