In ‘that’ none, but there sure are quite a few in the title! Well, now that I have gotten my childish joke out-of-the-way…. J I think it’s time to talk about the topic at hand. I think it’s already firmly established that I am a connoisseur of sorts, of lip balms and the like. I’ve had this in my make-up bag for a while and hadn’t used for any length of a time. I am trying to be good at the moment, so I am picking one product and using it religiously, until it is all gone (that way I don’t feel guilty when a new makeup/skin care item makes its way into my hands).
Lush ‘lite lip’ lip balm has a nice marshmallow and rose fragrance. The smell isn’t too overpowering though, so it’s perfect for everyday use. It comes in a cute little silver tin, as you can see above, and is a solid lip balm. In order to use it, you will need to heat the lip balm up a bit, by rubbing the tin between your hands, or rubbing it with your finger, until it softens enough to use it. I usually just keep in it my pocket, and the body heat is enough to keep it soft for whenever I need it. When you put it on, it has an oily rather than a creamy texture.
Even though this description does not sound particularly nice, it does feel nice on and is really nourishing. It has really nice ingredients, such as shea butter, beeswax, apricot kernel, corn, olive and rose absolute oils. As it has a more oily, liquid finish, it gives your lips a nice glossy look, making the need for lip gloss redundant.
I must say that after using it consistently for 2 weeks solid, my lips are definitely in better condition and feel much softer. With all the harsh wind and cold weather that we’re having or expecting to have, I think that this is a must.
A little goes a long way with this lip balm, and even though the tin is quite small and you wouldn’t think that it’s good value for money, it does last a long time. This was my first time trying out any of the Lush lip balms, but I think after using this one I would definitely try out some of the others!
